This page shows how Rebook Engine collects explicit SMS consent from end users.
How Consumers Opt In
When a client books an appointment through a barber's public booking page on OwnYourChair (e.g., ownyourchair.com/book/rebookengine), the booking form includes an explicit SMS consent checkbox.
- The checkbox is unchecked by default — consent is affirmative and cannot be pre-selected.
- The client must actively check the box to opt in.
- The checkbox is not required to complete the booking — clients can book without opting in to SMS.
- Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.

- Client phone number
- Consent timestamp
- Consent IP address
- Consent boolean (true/false)
- Associated barber account ID
These records are retained for compliance verification.
